Sign my petition for MORE LOCAL SURGERY CAPACITY Main Image

I know that members of our community have waited too long for their planned surgery after the former Coalition Government let the planned surgery waitlist skyrocket.

After coming into Government, the Minns Labor Government has invested $200 million to reduce overdue surgeries across NSW.

The Government has also funded multiple High Volume Surgery Services across the state.

So far, the number of people waiting longer than clinically recommended has been reduced from 14,000 in March 2023 to less than 4000 in March 2026.

This is a good start but we know there is more to do.

That is why, I am calling for more surgeries to be done at our local South East Regional Hospital.

As our local area grows, the surgery capacity locally should also grow.

This is about making sure people in our community can get the care they need sooner and closer to home.
