Congratulations to Jason Morris on winning the SNSWLHD Small Acts of Kindness Award 2026

Jason Morris is a Clinical Nurse Consultant, Disaster Response and Recovery, Mental Health and Alcohol & Other Drugs based in Moruya with the Eurobodalla Community Mental Health Service.

At times his role has taken him outside of Southern, such as when he chose to be deployed to provide disaster mental health support to the Northern NSW Local Health District following the devastating floods.

His colleagues at Eurobodalla Community Mental Health Service nominated him for the award, saying, “there is nothing small about Jason’s Acts of Kindness.”

He is known for recognising his colleague’s efforts after a challenging workday, celebrating the littles wins, and providing much-needing comedic relief to a high-stress environment. He offers uplifting feedback to both experienced and new to practice staff, and is eager to share his knowledge and expertise in a grounded, humble way

His everyday work is filled with actions that come from a place of genuine care rather than just duty, which positively impacts those around him. Wherever he is, Jason demonstrates extraordinary kindness through the lengths he goes to support the consumers, community and his colleagues.
