Frank Ziegler's contribution to the Mogo Rural Fire Brigade and the wider community over more than 50 years is extraordinary.
Since joining the brigade in 1971, Frank has demonstrated unwavering dedication to protecting lives, property and the communities of the Eurobodalla through his service, leadership and commitment to volunteerism. Over decades, Frank has undertaken numerous leadership and operational roles including Captain, Deputy Captain, Brigade Training Officer, Permit Officer and, currently, Brigade President.
His willingness to lead by example, mentor fellow volunteers and support brigade operations in every capacity has left a lasting impact on the strength and capability of the Mogo Brigade. Frank's extensive operational experience, qualifications and commitment to ongoing training reflect a lifetime devoted to community safety and emergency response.
He has played an important role not only in firefighting efforts, but also in building resilience, connection and preparedness within the local community.
His remarkable service has been recognised through several honours, including the Rural Fire Service 50-Year Long Service Award, the National Emergency Medal and citations acknowledging his contribution during major bushfire events. Frank Ziegler's legacy is one of courage, leadership and selfless community service.
His dedication continues to inspire generations of volunteers.
