Bega Squash Club celebrates an impressive 50 years of service to sport and community in 2026. This milestone is a testament to the dedication of its members, volunteers and supporters over many decades. The Club has built a proud reputation for strong governance, high participation rates and a genuine commitment to promoting squash for players of all ages and abilities.
From juniors picking up a racquet for the first time to long-time competitors still enjoying the game, the Club continues to provide opportunities for people aged 8 to 80 to stay active, connected and engaged.
The volunteers have already shown extraordinary commitment by carrying out repairs, painting, sanding floors, improving lighting and maintaining the courts through donations and hard work. Their willingness to invest time and energy into preserving these facilities speaks volumes about the strength of the club.
This year also promises to be a major one, with the Women’s PSA Tournament, NSW Junior Squash Championships and NSW Masters Tournament bringing competitors and visitors to the Bega Valley. These events showcase local sporting excellence and support tourism, accommodation providers and local businesses.
Congratulations and I wish the club every success as it enters its next chapter.
